..bring on crimbo...con mulled vino.

...this weekend was all about christmas shopping, recovering from being sick with the flu (no, not swine flu) for-EVER  and having a fabulous cooked dinner with my flatmates..i must say the beef roast and the roast veggies were fab..topped with some brussel sprouts and parsnip mash...while devouring such yummy crimbo food we also drank mulled vino (it took me about 3 hours to find the spices in dublin city centre..i was running from marks and spencer to marks and spencer!!!) and had apple crumble to top everything off...fabulous!!..could do with that every week...now am listening to the radio while figuring out a few more christmas presents as well as christkindle..oh, i do love christmas time...and the christmas pint i had in town yesterday put me right into the shopping mood...christmas pics are yet to come..perhaps a little moving narrative as well...but for now some non crimbo shots of a playground...weird..yes!

but i feel they deserve to be here.

in college...

...sitting in college now, listening to murray head's one night in bangkok while working on the book for which i'll have to have a marquette by monday...it's going to be about sri lanka and will feature around 40 images which i will choose from my selection...as well as doing that i will be working on my every day life project later on...soo much work...but i have found a few minutes to upload these pics taken in sydney..nice urban decay!!!....

..so, i am working on my next still moving image movie..which took me all day to shoot but will hopefully be good once edited...but since its taking me sooo long and i´m not really bothered i made a sneaky self portrait piece (of me and my bow..) in between..but now....back to work to the sounds of phoenix.

..alas...after listening to laura marling all day http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XonJJbV54BE ,jumping through town and thinking about future projects whilst also being unbelievably busy with uni i am now finding some time to upload images of dublin city..for my dublin in the 21st century project i didn´t want to portray dublin as the fancy, shiny, modern city that it is but look behind the fassade...into backstreets and real dub life as it goes on day to day..so i walked around sheriff-as well as near camden street and got some eye opening shots of the people and places...

..so now, sitting at home with a sprained ankle i have no more excuse to not blogg since i am in front of my mac all day anyway!...these are a few snaps which i took in colombo,sri lanka during a stay at the beginning of the year..i was amazed by the openness of the people there and their welcoming attitude..after strolling through every day life streets for about 20mins i had met nearly all their inhabitants..especially the kids were keen to show me their living quarters..i wanna go back!!!

ok, so i am new to this whole blogging scene..still trying to figure out how to work this site and get followers and be a follower...nothing else to do on this amazingly rainy dublin friday evening...maybe i should start uploading my latest documentary images shot in dublin as well as sri lanka...they ll be up tomorrow!Oidhche mhath.
